Made from T6061 aluminum alloy, this piece is an improvement on the OEM plastic part which has a reputation for breaking or stripping its threads. This part will not rust, corrode of become brittle. It has more than 4 times the resistance of its OEM part for stripping threads and is thus a much more durable proposition.
